Usually, I post a list of my favorite images from the past year (and I probably still will) but this year I decided to do something different. I’ve asked my couples from 2011 to tell ME what their favorite image was. It’s been amazing to see their picks and read their comments. I had INCREDIBLE clients in 2011 and this series goes to show it.

Here is #1 from Meah. This is what she had to say:

“The best part of taking dance lessons wasn’t that our first dance turned out so well, it was the 10 weeks we got to spend together learning something new and working together to accomplish a shared goal.”

I absolutely LOVE fall. I think it’s the most beautiful time of year…even more than spring. I was lucky enough to have an engagement session with Emily and Derek on one of the most beautiful days of the year. It was PERFECT. I cannot wait for their wedding…it’s going to be so much fun! Lindsay and Mike got married at a beautiful venue in New York called The Grandview of Ellington. It was a beautiful fall day…all of everyone’s hard work really showed and paid off! Here’s a quick peek:

Sara + Randy MARRIED!

Sara is one of the first brides I met with for this wedding season. I instantly fell in love with her…she’s awesome. I can’t put it into words, but I just clicked with her. Randy? He’s just as awesome! Because they are obsessed (in a good way) with micro-brews and all things vintage, they got married at Sprague Farm & Brew Works, a farm converted to a restaurant and brewery. It was such a pleasure to take photos in such a cool, inspiring environment. First up, a bunch of details from their day (because there were so many!) and then a sneak peek:

Randy sent these beautiful flowers to Sara the morning of the wedding. Grooms! Send flowers to your girl!

This is my favorite shot of the day. It’s so “Sara” (to me, anyway). I love it. Beautiful.

Sara just could not hold it together. I loved it…so sweet.

They did this awesome thing with honey…celebrating the sweetness of life. I’ve never seen it before and it was pretty cool.

I absolutely love this photo. They turned the farm silo into a huge beer mug!

This is a bowl of beads that people prayed over during the ceremony. Sara is going to make something out of them soon. I, for one, cannot wait to see it. Also…hello gorgeous ring!

Amanda + Eric LOVE STORY

Amanda and Eric…there are no words. I am so excited for their wedding! We totally clicked, and it was truly great. Rachel came along with me to Cleveland for this awesome session, and it shows. We got a lot of great images! Keeping within my new goal of self-control, here are five of my favorites:

Julissa + Ryan LOVE STORY

Julissa and Ryan met Dave and I in Richmond, VA for their engagement session. What a beautiful city! We both ended up caught in traffic at different times and didn’t start until about 7:15…with 30 minutes of sunlight left, we FLEW through, but they were troopers in the humidity. It was fun! These two are cute and fun…a great couple! I can’t wait to get to know you two better as the year goes by! Here’s a quick peek of my favorites from their session. I’m trying to be better at self control, so there are only three…just kidding…four:
